Frequently Asked Questions
Can I just visit? Or do I need to be a member?
We love visitors, and we don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable. As a visitor, you won’t be singled out or asked to do anything you don’t want to do. You can feel free to arrive at the last minute, take a seat and listen in. You can leave whenever you like. We want you to remain as anonymous as you want to be, but we encourage you to introduce yourself to us – we’d love to meet you.
How should I dress for services?
You don’t need to dress up to come to TAPC. We want you to feel comfortable joining us for our service. Please just come as you are – church is about the people you’re with, not the clothes you’re wearing.
Is it okay to bring my kids or grandkids?
Of course! Young or old – all are welcome at Tawas Area Presbyterian Church. If your kids need nursery services, just let us know. Our nursery facilities are available for your use. Kids are welcome to sit in with the service. We have activity bags for kids ages 5 to 10.
What if I need special assistance?
The building and facilities are handicap accessible. Large Print Bibles and personal listening devices are available at the audio desk.
