| TRUNK
OR TREAT' - Sunday - October 28th |
The
Christian Ed. Committee is again coordinating the all church
social for Halloween called Trunk or Treat' on Sunday
- October 28th It begins at 5:00 p.m. in the church parking
lot. Come with the trunk of your car or pick-up truck, or van,
decorated with a Halloween theme. There will be prizes for the
best decorated vehicle. We will form a big oval in the middle
of the parking lot with all the trunks facing toward the middle.
Even if you do not want to decorate your vehicle's trunk, come
and see the display.
At
5:30 the kids (and those who feel like kids) then circulate
among the vehicles to get Halloween goodies that you would normally
distribute if they came to your home. The kids as well as the
adults are encouraged to dress up for Halloween. There will
be ribbons for the best costume in several categories. At 6:00
p.m. after the "trunk and treating", we will go inside
for a Halloween potluck. Halloween refreshments will be the
order of the evening and we will sing Pumpkin Carols'
and see if the Great Pumpkin' of Peanuts comic fame might
visit us? This will take the place of the normal pot-lucks for
October and November. All adults and youth are encouraged to
bring their friends & families. Regretfully, we are not
able to open this event to the general public, so . TAPC members
and friends only, please. |
