COOKIE
WALK
|
As
people came through the bazaar, they asked what date our Cookie
Walk was going to be, because we have the best cookies
in the area. We know that the price of everything has gone up
and it will cost each of us more and we will have to charge
more per pound that we did last year. When we mentioned this
fact, they said they didn't care what the cost was.
So,
we will try it again this year on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
With the Cookie Walk we will have a Mini-Bazaar as we have
a lot of things left and we would welcome any new items that
you may want to contribute.
So, start
stocking up on baking supplies when you see them on sale,
digging out your best Christmas cookie recipes and help make
this a success. The profits of this activity will also go
to Missions and Debt Reduction.

| OUTREACH |
| Sitting
in the choir we can see who is in the congregation and lately
there have been a lot of strangers. Many of these visitors are
not greeted by the ushers when they are given a bulletin, what
a shame!
Many
of our congregation sits in the same seat, with the same people
every Sunday, which is the comfortable thing to do but not
always the friendly thing to do. Get out of your comfort zone
and get around and meet these new visitors.
If you
would be interested in forming a welcoming committee that
would see that these visitors are not ignored, please talk
to me and we will see what we can come up with. Our congregation
is decreasing and to keep our church alive we must welcome
newcomers.
