Potluck Double Feature
Recipe//Taste-testing
Night plus Allen Hearn's trip to Alaska!
Thursday, November 10, 6:00 P.M.
|
|
Here's
an opportunity for ladies to share a favorite harvest table
dish and for men to taste-test those recipes first-hand by
sampling the culinary specialties and give the official two
thumbs up! Maybe it's the recipe for a festive side dish like
cornbread stuffing or a special vegetable offering such as
creamed string beans. Perhaps it's the secret ingredient for
mouth-watering pumpkin pie. Ladies, you're from Venus, so
bring your harvest time specialties and share the recipes.
And, men, you're from Mars, so prepare to be impressed and
applaud!
Additionally,
Allen Hearn will share experiences from his recent road trip
to Alaska (yes, he drove!). Highlights included stops in Seward
and Wasilla (home of Sarah Palin), plus historic Cook Inlet
settlements such as Kenai and Homer, as well as several towns
in British Columbia. Allen's travelogue will include a DVD
featuring the majestic scenery of the 49th state.
Mark your calendar for this Thurday evening double feature.
Please remember to bring your own place setting plus a dishespecially
a harvest time specialty! to pass.
