During
our 20th Anniversary Home Coming weekend we will be acknowledging
a little bit of our communities history in conjunction with
our church's beginnings. Do you remember the old ‘Tawas
Drive-In'? Such great memories for many of us!
So to
help celebrate our 20th anniversary of T.A.P.C. we will be
bringing an OUTDOOR MOVIE to T.A.P.C. on Saturday August 27th.
A company by the name of Fun Flicks is bringing in a 26 ft.
inflatable movie screen, speakers and equipment to show a
movie to our church and community on our church lawn. They
will also be serving popcorn! (Don't worry they'll do clean
up and a ‘rain date' is also planned)
What a
wonderful way to share the excitement we have in Who We
Are and Where We Came From and most importantly,
how God brought us all together - here on this very
Drive-In Movie spot.
We
hope that all former members and friends of our church will
be able to attend. We want you to send or bring any memorabilia
for this event. We will be having a catered picnic lunch that
Sunday after church. We will also be having a professional
pictorial directory produced, so keep watch for those picture
taking dates.
Since
this is a major milestone in the life of our church, we encourage
all who so wish, to make a donation for this special celebration,
in honor or memory of those were/are instrumental in the history
of this church. Let's all pitch in and praise God for blessing
us with a ‘goodly heritage'. Spread the word far and
wide!
