Beach Belles - Lunch BunchAt least 12 years ago, the Beach Belles lunch group from AuGres, formed a northern unit. While it was not a church group, this northern group of "lunchers" was made up of 95% TAPC women, and eventually ALL TAPC women. A different person called around each month to a list of some 40 women who had expressed an interest, and we ate at a different place each month. Because no one wanted to do the calling, it dwindled down to a core group, who has spent the last two years just meeting at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort each third Tuesday.

Jan Doak has graciously offered to revive this group, which her mother belonged to at one time, and we are reclaiming the "Beach Belles" name. Our purpose is only to eat lunch and have fellowship, although occasionally we may make a craft or do an outreach project. ALL WOMEN ARE INVITED, and of course, you may include friends. Because we will be going to restaurants and sometimes people's homes, it IS important that we have a fairly accurate count of who is coming. So, PLEASE let either Jan Doak or Patty Vogeley or Vida Minard know, each month, if you think you ARE able to attend.

On March 16, we will car pool, from the church, at 11:15 to meet at Dunleavy's in AuGres to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!! Mark your calendars, dust off your green outfits, and call Jan or Patty (Vida's gone in March) to let them know you will be attending. Jan is VERY organized and has a wonderful year planned for us. THANK YOU, Jan!!!!!

2010 SUMMER MISSION TRIP
One last call for anyone interested in a mission trip to Pine Ridge Reservation this summer. The dates will be decided by those going. The purpose of the work tip is to build relationships with the Lakota people, while assisting them in home improvements. The cost for the one-week experience is $350 plus transportation to and from South Dakota, which will be shared by participants. Some of these funds could be raised with fund raisers this spring. If interested, contact Jan Chambers @ 989-329-4008 or rmchambers@juno.com.
