definition a choir is a group organized to lead in worship.
Our choir needs your prayerful consideration as we continue
to dwindle in size. Several of our members can no longer sing;
and some just want a little break after many years of service.
The beauty of this church choir has been that we have had
enough voices so that no one had to worry about being away
when necessary. That is no longer true. We have 23 choir members
at this time - if all are here at once. Last year our biggest
Sunday choir contained 20 of the then 24 members. More typically
we had 15 or 16 in the choir. It is becoming increasingly
more difficult to sing the anthems accumulated in our files
over the past 7 years because we just don't have enough singers.
And so, we ask that - if you can sing- would you please consider
joining the choir for a period of time to help us out.
Many of
us do not read music; many of us have voices which are failing
us as we get older; but with all of us working together, I
know there is enough talent in this congregation to keep the
choir going. The only requirement is that you can sing on
pitch and hold your own part. WE ESPECIALLY NEED MEN!!! The
congregation and visitors are always very appreciative of
the choir's contribution to the worship service; now we are
asking for your help.
