WALK FOR HUNGER REPORT
The Sunrise
Side CROP walk for hunger that was held 10/14/07 was a great
success raising over $3,890 for hunger. Our church came in
2nd for the total amount raised by a church with $776.00.
We came in first with the most number of walkers from a church.
On Sunday Feb. 10th, Nan Scales and Jeanne Hebner were presented
with special awards from CROP for raising over $150 each,
and Nan won the award for the most money raised by a single
walker $255.00! She received a hand carved ebony communion
cup from Africa. Congratulations to all the walkers. Some
of the proceeds from this world wide walk for hunger will
benefit our local F.I.S.H.

FOR CARING ON SUPER SUNDAY! |
| The Souper
Bowl of Caring began with one church youth group in 1991, and
today "Super Sunday" is the largest youth-led day
of giving and serving in our country. TAPC youth wants to express
their appreciation to all the members of our congregation for
their continued support. On "Super Sunday," February
3rd, $187 was collected. As before, 90% will go to F.I.S.H.,
our local ecumenical caring agency, with the balance goint to
Bowl organizers. THANKS, again!!! |
