The Deacons met on May 1st with almost all of it's members present. The snowbirds are returning! Opening and closing prayers were given by Betty DeWilde, and Moderator, Carol Ellis, chaired the meeting.

Once again we reiterate the need for food and paper products for the Deacons' Box. As the economy continues its slowdown, the need for help to our community is greater.

We discussed the possibility of providing new name tags for the congregation. Roxanne Rosenfeld is looking into various options and will report back next month.
2 Coins A Meal: March $63.50, April $83.00.
Kathy Reddick reported that the Health Kits are now available and they should be returned to the church by June 1st.
Judy Crain reported that the Dinner Scramble will resume shortly. If you are interested in being in a group, please contact the Crains (989-473-2351).
Sue Murton said that Habitat for Humanity is in dire need of volunteers. Please
consider participating in this "Helping Hands" project.

If you don't know who your Deacon is - please contact Carol Ellis (989-756-4508) or look on the Deacon's list in the Servery.

The next meeting of the Deacons is Thursday, June 5th at 4:30 p.m.
