The
choir is now working on the abridged version of "Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". This is the
original 1968 version, which was written as a school project
by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The Broadway version was
expanded. It is fun music to sing. Much of it is in unison,
but very rhythmic - always a challenge for us! The choir and
several soloists will help bring this to life one Sunday
in August. You won't want to miss this fun and beautiful
music. It will be our "mini" musical this year, and
while having fun, all of you will be re-learning the story of
Joseph, considered to be the favorite son of Jacob (Old Testament). |

Women's
studies will begin again in September. A suggested study for
July is to re-read the book of Ruth, preferably with a study
Bible in-hand. |
