The
Annual Yard Sale will be held on
Saturday, August 30
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. |
| Items
may be delivered to the church on Wednesday, August 27th and
Thursday, August 28th. |
| Clothes
and shoes will NOT be accepted this year. Jewelry can be brought
to the church at any time. Please give it to either Jan Fox
or Bea Martin for sorting and placing in plastic bags. All goods
must be in a reasonable and working condition for selling. Some
more valuable items will be given a reserve price. The sale
will be conducted on a donation basis. |

Volunteers
will be needed for sorting, cashiering and just roaming the
premises during the sale. There will be a sign-up sheet in
the Servery. Also, if anyone has a large, party-type tent
or shelter that they would loan for a couple of days, it would
be appreciated.

proceeds of this sale will be for Church Mission and Maintenance
Fund. |
| The
Facilities Committee is sponsoring this sale. We are very blessed
to have Jan Fox as our counselor on this project. |

 REMINDER:
So many enjoy ...... so few provide.
If we are to enjoy cookies at our Fellowship Hour, after Sunday
morning worship services, all members will have to help with
providing the cookies. There is a sign-up sheet in the Servery.
Six (6) dozen cookies are needed each Sunday throughout the
summer. If you don't bake, you can purchase cookies. The Fellowship
Committee thanks you in advance. |
| Thanks
to the Crafters, we now have three (3) new coffee urns - two
for use on Sunday mornings and a larger one for special events,
when needed. The upper cupboards have been moved and another
section will be purchased and installed. The shelves on the
hall wall are being removed and the freezer will be moved from
its present position in the hallway into the kitchen sometime
this summer. |
| The
Fellowship Committee served soup and sandwiches to the Flint
Male Chorus when they were here in May, and will be serving
the Presbytery when it meets here in August. Watch The Connection
for the announcement and dates of the potluck dinners that are
held each month - good food, good fellowship, and a good program.
