| The
purpose of the Worship and Music Committee is to provide the
setting for a meaningful worship environment, and for spiritual
growth of members and visitors in that setting. This committee
meets on the 2nd Monday of the month, as needed.
Serving
on this committee in 2009 were: Andre` DeWilde, Betty DeWilde,
Janice Fox, Bea Martin, Bill Rosenfeld, Nan Scales, and Patty
Vogeley.
The Worship
and Music Committee continued overseeing the worship services
of our church, providing ushers for all services in the sanctuary,
providing communion servers as needed, seeing to seasonal
decorations, the straightening of the sanctuary after Sunday
services, all musical needs and special music. The purchase
of material things needed such as: friendship pads, bibles,
hymn books, and CDs for recording worship services.
This year
we instituted the "special occasion" flower project,
which has gotten off to a good start. We also planned a New
Year's Eve party and Vesper service.
We praise
the Lord for guiding us and helping us do what we feel is
necessary to provide meaningful worship for our congregation.
