| MISSION
COMMITTE |
| 2007
has been a busy year for the Mission Committee. All Mission
giving, as gifts from our members, goes through the Mission
Committee, which functions under the Board of Deacons, and is
given credit by the Presbytery. On-going projects this past
year have been: |
|
- Nursing
Home Chaplain
- Christians Children's Fund (we support Prinson George in
W. Africa)
- Habitat for Humanity (several TAPC members served on this
Board - and were instrumental in providing housing for families
in need.)
- F.I.S.H.
- Linen Closet (to help those in need. Patti Casey coordinated
this effort.)
- Deacon's Food Box (to help those in need throughout the
year. Kaye
Leisher coordinated this effort.)
- Maple Ridge Presbyterian Church Pulpit Supply (funding)
- Health Kits for the Presbytery Health Fair (we supplied
42 kits in 2007)
- Thanksgiving Food Baskets (we supplied 6 families in 2007)
- Charlie Brown Christmas Tree (we provided 29 gifts in 2007)
- Christmas Food Baskets (we supplied 7 families in 2007)
|
A
new project this year was the Mission Challenge 07, which
supports World Mission.

| CRAFTERS |
| In
2007 we met at 9:30 a.m. on the first and last Tuesdays of each
month. The Crafters had a very busy, rewarding year. Major contributions
made in 2007 were: |
- to
"help" our adopted families with food and utility
bills
- to purchase a new refrigerator for the Church kitchen
- to give 10% of all donations to F.I.S.H.
|
| Thank
you to all the TAPC members who gave of their time and talents
to make our 2007 Bazaars and Cookie Walk so successful that
we were able to give to others. Respectfully submitted, |
| Kaye
Leisher and Vida Minard |
