| BOARD
OF DEACONS |
| "It
is the duty of Deacons, first of all, to minister to those who
are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who
may be in distress, both within and beyond the community of
faith." (Book of Order) |
| The
2007 Board of Deacons have worked hard to fulfill this responsibility.
Each Deacon was assigned to a Care List. (Each member has a
Deacon assigned to them.) The Board of Deacons also sponsor
and are responsible for many programs at TAPC: |
- HELPS
(Help Everyone Lend Positive Support), is available if you
need assistance with chores at home.
- Two
Coins A Meal funds support Presbyterian World Hunger and
local missions.
- The
Prayer Chain - coordinated through the office for friends,
families and members.
- Birthday
and Anniversary Cards sent monthly by Deacon, Pauline Webber
- Fellowship
- (see separate report, following)
- Mission
- (see separate report, following)
- Women's
Bible Study - led by Patty Vogeley in 2007.
- Women's
Luncheons - met the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
- Men's
Breakfasts - met the 2nd Monday of each month.
- Dinner
Scramble - coordinated by Patty Chonich and Judy Crain in
2007.
In addition to all of the above, we also:
- actively
participated in F.I.S.H. an organization that helps provide
assistance to
community members. Kathy Reddick served as our representative,
whenever possible in 2007.
- sponsored
the 2nd Grief Support Group with Heartland Hospice
- collected
donations and sent international telephone cards to 9 servicemen
at Christmas.

Kelly, Pauline Webber, Jeanne Hebner, and especially to Ruth
Perrigo and Kate Cornack, who are rotating off the Deacon's

to serving with you in 2008.
And, thank you to all the members of TAPC, who generously contribute
