FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE

The purpose of the Fellowship Committee, which functions under the Board of Deacons, is to promote friendship and fellowship among members, usually involving food.

Serving on the Fellowship Committee in 2008 were: Carol Berry, Ann Coates, Judy Crain, Jan Doak, Judy Douglas, Carol Ellis, Ruthie Fullerton, Bea Martin, Vida Minard, Evelyn Moon, Ruth Perrigo, Nan Scales, Ginny Scales, Pauline Weber and Mary Wenzel.

Meetings were held on the first Tuesday of the month, whenever necessary.

The Fellowship Committee is responsible for the Coffee Fellowship Hour that follows worship on Sunday morning. This year we began the practice of a donation basket to help pay for those expenses (coffee, lemonade, cream, sugar, cups, napkins, etc.) We are thankful to the members of the congregation who provide the goodies that are served.

We are also responsible for setting up and providing beverages for the monthly potlucks. "Linger for Lunch", will be starting in January, after church on the 2nd Sunday of the month.

We hosted two receptions after choral concerts at our church, one in the spring and one in December.

We are thankful to have had only one funeral luncheon this year. We are in the process of creating a Funeral Luncheon Policy with the Worship Committee. We are grateful for your willingness to prepare and donate dishes whenever called.

Respectfully Submitted,
Vida Minard, Chairperson
