The purpose
of the Facilities Committee is to oversee the care of and
improvements to the church buildings and the surrounding property.
This
includes:
- The
operation and maintenance of the heating, cooling, electrical,
plumbing and alarm system.
- The
annual inspection of all fire control and fire prevention
equipment .
- Provide
for custodial services.
- Provide
for care of the lawn, shrubs and trees.
- Provide
for snow removal from drive, parking lot and walks.
- Co-ordinate
building and grounds use by the Preschool-Daycare operation.
Major
Activities for 2011
- Replace
and upgrade all Sanctuary fluorescent light fixtures.
- Move
and set-up a storage building donated for the Daycare activity.
- Perform
general painting and clean-up for the 20th Anniversary celebration.
Special
thanks
- To
all the members and friends who turn out each year for our
annual spring clean-up
- To
all those committee members who took care of the ‘weed
and feed' and the weekly mowing of the church lawns. A special
thanks to Jim Murton who spear-headed this activity all
year.
- To
the members of the committee who continue to share their
time and expertise in maintaining our church home.
- To
Ken Douglas who continues to keep shrubs trimmed and walks
edged.
