August 10, the choir brings you the music from Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We won't have all
the actions and props the Bay City kids use when they come
(or sets and costumes of the Tawas Bay Players), but we are
presenting the original music from 1968. It will be sung in
place of the sermon, in re-telling the story of Jacob and
his sons - especially his favorite son, Joseph. While
having fun listening, you will be re-learning this popular
Old Testament story, as found in Chapter 37 of Genesis. By
the end of the story, you will be humming and tapping your
feet to several of the tunes!
Don't
miss it! (And bring a friend or neighbor.)

Women
interested in participating in a monthly study are asked to
sign-up in the Servery.
Many years ago, the Outreach Committee offered a women's study
called 3-D. This study ended four years ago, and since then
we have continued to meet to study Women of the Bible, Parables
of Jesus, Seasons of the Church Year, and other subjects. In
addition, we have a sharing time for concerns, silliness, and
just fellowship. The book we plan to study this year is "Having
a Mary Heart in a Martha World", by Joanna Weaver. Don't
we all long to sit at Jesus' feet and learn and visit, but find
ourselves caught up in the daily demands of a busy world? This
book deals with those issues, and it comes complete with a study
guide. |
This
group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
If you are interested in participating, please sign-up. |
