A THOUGHT . . . . .

July,
the patriotic month with parades, flag waving, songs, red
white and blue everywhere. A time for hot dogs and beer or
lemonade and friends dropping by. Maybe a pick-up baseball
game or a real one at a stadium. All of this is great fun
and we love it. July, the month to look around at this lovely
country of ours and ask ourselves, "What are we doing
to the earth. God gives and man destroys. Not us, you say,
but somehow we are all responsible. Have you ever looked at
those pictures from out in space that show this wonderful
blue and green ball sitting in blackness and wonder how God
feels as he looks at what he created and sighs or sheds a
tear. Let us pray for forgiveness and work a little harder
to protect this gift from Heaven.
