CHANGES IN THE CHURCH OFFICE HOURS |
Please
make a note that the Church office is now open on Sundays, immediately
following the worship service, and our Church secretary, Kaye,
is available to assist YOU in taking care of any business you
need to when you are already here on Sunday mornings. Also .
. . after a year-long reorganization of the office and greater
volunteer involvement, the Session has allowed for a change
in the Church Secretary's working hours. Beginning this month,
Kaye will be working 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Fridays, and (immediately following the worship
service) on Sunday mornings. Whenever the work-load allows,
she will NOT be in the office on Wednesdays. Hopefully, an "office
angel" volunteer* will be available to answer your calls
whenever Kaye is not there, if not - just leave a message and
we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
*If you would like to spend a few hours each month helping out
in the church office, please let Kaye know. You'll LOVE it!
It's a GREAT gig! |

THE
HURON SHORES SPRING CONCERT
Friday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. (note change
in time) |
The
concert will only be about 1 hour long and will include the
choir singing the Festival Mass, a lovely, lively
and rather brief work by John Leavitt; For the Beauty
of the Earth by John Rutter; I'm Going Home (from the
movie, Cold Mountain') and The Majesty and Glory
of Your Name - (the last two of which our church choir
did two years ago, and which many in the congregation requested
we do again.) In addition, Melanie
Bowie, our wonderful accompanist and Tina Donze, flutist (who
has played here at TAPC many Sunday mornings in the past) will
offer several movements of a beautiful piano/flute duet, Fantasy
for Flute. All of this concert's music is delightful
to the listener - none of it is "stuffy" and 2 of
the 4 mass movements are so fast and exciting, they are finished
almost before you know they began. Patty Vogeley is once again
directing this group of 31 singers (the largest spring ensemble
ever, according to Dr. Cargo). We hope you will plan to attend
and bring a friend and/or neighbor with you. |
